Data we use
- Account details such as name, email, optional phone number, language and preferred units.
- Athlete profile data such as weight, height, FTP, FRC, power zones, heart rate and effective dates.
- Activities you choose to import, including GPS route, device, power, heart rate, cadence, speed, altitude, laps and calculated metrics.
- Information needed to protect your account, maintain the service and respond to support messages.
Why we use your data
- To create and manage your account, import activities and show their analysis: necessary to provide the service.
- To analyse physiological information, such as heart rate, and adapt results to your athlete profile: with your explicit consent.
- To protect accounts, prevent abuse and resolve incidents: based on our legitimate interest in keeping BestPerformance secure and reliable.
- To comply with applicable legal obligations.
We do not sell personal data or use it for personalised advertising.
Sports and physiological data
Heart rate and certain physical or performance data may reveal health-related information. They are only used to provide the analysis features you request. You may withdraw consent at any time; withdrawal does not affect earlier processing and may make some features unavailable.
Where data comes from
We receive data directly from you, from the information entered in your profile and from activity files or exports you choose to upload. BestPerformance does not access other sports accounts without an explicit action or authorisation from you.
Providers and transfers
We use Google Cloud and Firebase for accounts and secure storage, and Mapbox to display maps and routes. They receive only the data required to provide those functions and are subject to contractual privacy and security commitments.
Where a provider processes data outside the European Economic Area, we use safeguards recognised by data protection law, such as adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.
How long we keep data
We keep account, profile and activity data while your account remains active. When you request deletion, associated data is erased except where temporary retention is required by law, to resolve a claim or to protect the service. Support messages and security records are retained only for as long as needed for their purpose.
Your rights
You may request access, correction, deletion, objection, restriction and portability, and withdraw consent, by contacting bestperformance.dev@gmail.com. Exercising these rights is free and we normally respond within one month. You may also complain to your competent supervisory authority; in Spain this is the Spanish Data Protection Agency.
Security
We protect information through authenticated access, separation of user data, encrypted communications and private storage. Permissions and safeguards are reviewed regularly.
Website, children and changes
This informational website does not use advertising cookies or tracking tools. BestPerformance is not directed at children. If this policy changes materially, we will provide clear notice before the change applies.
